Participant Suitability and Support

Pathways to Hospitality and Tourism is designed to be inclusive and accessible. Participants must be able to safely engage in the training environment, either independently or with appropriate supports or reasonable adjustments arranged before the training.

Participants, families, providers and support networks are encouraged to provide HDNWA with relevant information about accessibility requirements, support needs or reasonable adjustments through the participant information form.

Where additional support may be required, HDNWA will work with the participant and their support network to determine whether appropriate arrangements can reasonably be made for the training.

Behaviour and Safety

Participants are expected to engage respectfully and safely during the training.

HDNWA reserves the right to pause or end a participant’s involvement in the training where their behaviour presents an immediate or ongoing risk to themselves, other participants, staff, trainers or members of the public.

Where appropriate, HDNWA will first seek to address the situation with the participant and their support person or support network.

Privacy

Personal information collected through the booking and participant information forms will only be used for program administration, participant support, communication, safety, training preparation and pathway planning purposes.

Information will be handled securely and in accordance with HDNWA’s privacy obligations and applicable privacy requirements.

Additional pathway support after the training is separate to the two-day Pathways to Hospitality and Tourism program and may involve a separate fee or service arrangement.
